i think there is more than just eating moon cakes. In Singapore, Chinatown streets are lit up. There will be large artistic lanterns at the Chinese garden or by the Bay. There are also many performances at the Esplanade and a mass lantern walk each year. http://bit.ly/bAueLn lists all the things you can do, so it's actually much more fun imo.

Yup, it's all about atmosphere in Singapore because of the crowd and festivals. And there are many activities going on at the same time like Hari Raya or the F1 race. http://bit.ly/cexpbs There's Mariah Carey and Chris Daughtry doing concerts.
