I got into Hunter X Hunter on the first series, then the Manga. I was pleasantly surprised when they started this series up again, as well as the direction they took it. I have a few small qualms (very minor changes that change the entire feel of a scene compared to the original series and the manga) but over all very happy. I'd say Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide 10ish? episodes till they start some of the more epic fights. Maybe less, I'm guessing off a shoddy memory and bad estimations of how much they'll go through an episode

Maybe less, I'm guessing off a shoddy memory and bad estimations of how much they'll go through an episode ;) Well lets see, there was originally 3 OVAs, 8 episodes to finish off the kurapika/yorkshin arc, 8 episodes to get the greed island arc going then 14 to finish it off. Id say were about 4 into that original 8 so yea, around 10 until it gets really badass.

Love the manga and never knew they started the series, then Xbox had an ad for Crunchy and I saw Hunter x Hunter. I was so pumped and now I love Crunchyroll.

I wonder though how the anime will evolve, same as series like claymore that when it got really gory they stopped airing it. Hope it doesn't happen with this.

With a lot less time spent screaming and powering up. But it's basically a fantastical world following the traditional train / fight / train routine....

The characters in it are outstanding and the series stays strong throughout it. Even though it leaves off with a major cliff hanger, it is a great series. The manga is excellent too, except they stopped publishing it...

If i watch to try the remake(2011 version), at what episode should i start at? I heard that a certain amount of the first episodes are pretty much the same as in the original. What arc, and what episode should i begin at? Would be great if someone could answer that, thanks.
