I wouldn't be all that insulted. I'm almost constantly taunting and insulting (jokingly, with heavy sarcasm) people I care about, so my behavior could be misconstrued as that of a tsundere person.
Also, although it is true that tsunderes are typically represented as girls, I don't think the term itself has any gender qualities to it.
