It's a little early, but let's start announcing new summer titles coming to Crunchyroll, starting with: Total Eclipse! Dates, times, and available territories have not been confirmed. More information on that coming soon.

Reuniting from SHAKUGAN NO SHANA III, Total Eclipse will feature the voice talents of Kenji Hamada (Hanasaku Iroha, Bakuman) and Sayaka Ohara (XxxHOLiC, Fairy Tail). Adding to the star-studded lineup, artists Minami Kuribayashi, GRANRODEO, and ayami will also provide musical support to this animated adaptation.

"The remnants of mankind make their last stand in Alaska as two of its young pilots will face their destinies. Since 1973, an invasion of aliens known as BETA descended upon Earth, driving human civilization to near extinction. To survive, the humans created the humanoid arms team called the Tactical Surface Fighters, and deployed them to its defense lines throughout the world. so how much nudity should we be expecting?

I don't think it would be much, It seems more like super robot wars than say queen's blade with robots. Tight suits but fully clothed.

Hopefully my country will be included.

Summer 2012 season is starting off really well on CR imo (and early too, for this announcement anyway)

So, do I need to know the Muv-Luv timeline to enjoy this?

Cool this is a title that definitely interests me, ditto on the having to know the Muv-Luv timeline.

Not really. It's essentially a prequel to Alternative. It really shares nothing with the main series other than the fact it shares Alternative's setting. Being familiar with it may help but it's not that big of a deal. The series has explanations being pretty common but I'm not sure they'll be in the anime.

It's like getting into Fate/ Stay Night via Fate/ Zero.

I'm not sure about one thing though: they're might be a few age character cameos here and there. They did it with Akane Maniax so it wouldn't surprise me.

Great news. I just hope you guys get the names right. Don't want another "Brit/ Vanguard" typo like in SRW OG: The Inspector.
