Is there a way to search for posts by user? If there is, I cant find it.

AFAIK, there is but it is only available to moderators.

Along those lines, it would be nice if we had the ability to see our most recent posts.

I know right! I keep forgetting about or losing where my posts are! Help forum gods!

There is ^.^! If you go to the search box on the top right corner and type out your username "sandruu." After you type your name out and press search look on the left side where it says search, click forum and you will see your most recent forum posts. Hope this helps ^.^
There use to be function where you can even favorite forum posts but CR decided to get rid of it due to low usage.

It seems to pull me up only when I am in the body of the post(like a quote/reply) not when I'm the author or original post. If I can't find my posts, I can keep up with them and my activity dies. :(
