Luffy. He is the embodiment of "moving forward." He is never afraid and never backs down and always supports his friends. His friends use him as their will to fight and Luffy uses that as his own will to fight. He is a perfect friend.

Minato Namikaze. In my eyes the greatest hero in the Naruto universe, typically chose him because he doesn't need to make a big long speech as he gets his ass beaten down on like most main characters in well-... Everything.

I there last 30 years the most influential anime character as far as heroes go I would have to say Goku so many different characters have been influenced by him not just anime. As far as my number 2 I would have to say Sailor Moon because she pretty much revived the magical girl genre and became the archetype there after. Another highly influential anime character is Vegeta he showed us how someone can be shaped by there surrounds, also he is the ideal anti hero.

L from Death Note. He is unique in so many ways. From his unparalleled intellect, and his unclouded sense of justice, and as well as his ability to get the job done. His personality compliments light yagamas character and his talent of analysing people keeps the series incredibly suspenseful. Overall a creative, unique and model character.

Ash Ketchum (better known as Satoshi in Japan)... he has to be the very best no one ever was and to catch em is his real test, to train them is his cause! He'll travel across the land searching far and wide, each pokemon to understand the power that's inside. Pokemon! Also, he's still 10 years old....

Going to have to agree, Iskander gave many great speeches throughout fate/zero, it was truly tragic when he died.

On a personal level, Naraku from Inuyasha was very influential for me. He taught me many things about being a great villian. Many of these techniques i learned are why im good at gambling, and why some of my family members have dug themselves in up to 2k in debt to me, tho i will never see the money i can hold it over them till they die. Naraku always had a plan, and then a secondary plan, and then several plans to fake it death to make more plans. His speeches were always entertaining, and he always held his emotions in check, being calm and calculated even during heated moments, always giving off that Aura of "Screw everyone who isn't me", giving that grin that said even tho your winning, your still losing. He is one of my all time favorite villians, and orignally captured my attention towards the power of evolution. In all things i prefer potential over a straight boost. Such as gambling, small amounts of money at a time, like 5 or 10 dollars each time, but making sure that you wont lose, so that about a few dozen bets later, they are knee deep in debt :D.
