First Impressions

I just watched this on TAN which for some reason today streamed it with subbed before Japan which is rare.

Anyways, it was a good refreshment to see this series again. It's been ages! (besides the OVA) The OP song is actually pretty catchy and so is the very beginning with Rito having a compromise with Nana and Yui already. Momo and Nana looks pretty cute in their school clothes. Speaking of which, there's a new character and her name is Mea. I wonder if her role will be the same as the manga.

Anyways, it was a nice refreshment.

one of the many harem leads i dislike... it isn't because he is emo, mostly because he is so indecisive another quality that makes

harem themed animes so hard to pull off, a protagonist that people can like

I thought for certain they would change the date at the last minute, but it was there tonight as announced.

Unless the premiere date in Japan was moved up at the last minute, it may make for an interesting headline tomorrow.

Supposedly TAN can't get in trouble, because an administrator there stated, "...we have had our release dates and hours approved by the licensors".

On a different topic, at least they aren't censoring every upskirt panty shot (as some series have attempted to do). With this series, that could get quite annoying.

I also see that unlike the 3 short segments of Motto, they have returned to a normal full length episode with a continuing plot.

Given Sentai's involvement in this, is there any chance CR may stream it later as part of a late announcement for this Fall?

No.

Typically, the series they have shared with CR have had all episodes accessible for free, and they have already announced and show the episodes after the first one as being for subscribers only.

Also, like their 3 exclusives (and unlike the Sentai titles CR is simulcasting), it is one of Anime on Demand's simulcasts. I don't think that is a coincidence.

You know i didn't even think about it till this morning, then I hopped on over to TAN and saw this show was gone, then it clicked "Oh man they screwed the pooch on that one!"...

I also read on another board, I think the post was by our very own TheAncientOne who said that TAN confirmed in their forum that their broadcast time was correct, and then they tweeted that they are going to be delayed on all their exclusive shows now. I kinda feel bad for TAN... 10th birthday, launched a bunch of shows, 4 of them exclusive again after going multiple seasons broadcasting everything on Crunchyroll... and then forget to use a clock and adjust for a time difference... by an entire day.

It doesn't look like they'll be "simulcasting" anything this season unless it's one of the ones that CR is doing for them... I'd imagine they'll just get their hand slapped... I'm just speculating here but probably also told to put everything on at least one week delay as punishment. Don't think I'll be renewing my membership there, especially if everything is delayed... maybe I'll sign up at the end of the season and marathon those 4 exclusive shows... or take other actions to see Hidamari...

Anyway back on topic... I actually watched Darkness shortly after it was put up on the site... light beams everywhere, and looks like it's just going to be more of the Ecchi stuff we saw in the OVA... I'll be watching it though.

It was Anime on Demand in the UK that Tweeted that four of their shows would be delayed due to a problem out of their hands, and it was the same four shows that are exclusive to TAN in North America.

The last I checked, The Anime Network hadn't said word one. As of a few moments ago, no mention of anything regarding Darkness or any of their other announced simulcasts on their own Twitter Feed.

Oh okay I really wasn't paying attention to who exactly tweeted that when I read your other post, I had also checked their feed and site after I had posted and yeah they haven't said a word... I guess then I would imagine at this time that TAN is trying to sort everything out as to what they are going to do and what kind of trouble they could possibly be in. Although with time differences there isn't going to be any sort of instant communication with who they most likely need to speak to in order to figure out the next step.

Hopefully we'll hear something soon, and hopefully it will be good news... I like legally streaming anime and I hope this doesn't put them in too much of a bad situation, it's not like it hasn't happened before.

ok let me get this correct i would need to subscribe to anime on demand to be able to watch this show uncensored and without all the commercials? i just want to make sure where i can watch this show because i like this series fun comedy to watch and not loaded with drama for the most part. i checked their site out and just didn't scream a trusted site to me and i don't want to waste my money and have my debit card compromised where i have to hotcard it, so i hope to get some sort of response because after the screw up i'm just wondering what is going to happen surely someone will be showing it.

You don't need to subscribe to Anime on Demand to view this season's simulcasts; they are all free. There are no commercials during the anime, but there is a pre-roll. The problem in your case is that Anime on Demand is for UK residents.

You are apparently confusing it with The Anime Network, where, yes, you do have to subscribe to view the show after episode 1 (if you were lucky enough to catch it before it was pulled).

The show also wasn't uncensored. If anyone gets the series uncensored, it will be AT-X (a premium channel in Japan), and they don't air it until 11 PM JST on Tuesday.

At this point, there is no telling when (or even if) TAN will have Darkness back, thanks to streaming the first episode before it premiered in Japan.

well, that sucks i don't mind the censored version if that's all i have, but i don't have to watch it as soon as it comes out i don't mind waiting i just want to be able to watch the show without having popup windows all over the damn place and i'm willing to pay but if i pay would be nice to have more to look forward to than just one show.

I just don't like the fact that when i look for the show i see nowhere showing they are carrying the show anymore, which leaves me to believe I'll have to watch some version that is made by the fans and the quality will be crap. One of the main reasons i like this site is because of the different qualities they offer, and i've yet to find another sim if you know of one let me know maybe they will have the shows crunchyroll is missing.

Based on the Anime on Demand website, they don't believe they'll be getting it any time soon - if ever. Of the 6 Boxes, it's down to 5. K is streaming and the others are "Coming Very Soon"
